What moves in this card

• The cardinal on the fence post looks this way and that, cocks its head and fluffs its feathers.
• The horse at the half door of the barn turns its head, its breath clouding in the cold.
• In the field the doe and the buck turn their heads now and then and breathe softly, the doe’s breath clouds in the cold and the buck flicks his tail.
• Firelight flickers in the farmhouse windows, the barn window and the open hayloft, the two lanterns by the door glow, warm light spills across the snow and fills the horse’s stall, and smoke rises from the brick chimney.
• The full moon glows softly, a few stars twinkle in the lavender sky, a shooting star passes and birds fly over now and then.
