The Covered Bridge

What moves in this card

• The horse at the barn door turns its head, its breath clouding in the cold.
• The cardinal on the fence post looks this way and that, cocks its head and fluffs its feathers.
• The lantern on the bridge glows, and warm light fills the inside of the bridge.
• Mist drifts over the stream, and pale reflections slide across the water.
• Firelight flickers in the farmhouse windows, and smoke rises from two chimneys.
• Snow falls in three depths with the odd gust, snow slips from the roofs, stars twinkle, a shooting star passes and frost glints.
