A Card Made for You
Your house under snow, with warm light in the windows. Your dog asleep by the fire. The farm your grandparents left, on a winter evening. Tell us about the place, or send us a photo of it, and we paint it in our winter style and bring it to life: falling snow, smoke from the chimney, a flicker in the windows, and up to 2 animals that move a little, a turn of the head, a breath, a wagging tail.
Then the card is yours to send, as often as you like for a whole year, in its envelope with the wax seal.

Prices in pounds and euros include VAT. No tax is added to prices in US dollars: the dollar price is what you pay. You see the full price before you pay, with nothing added at the last step.
How it works
- You choose and pay. We only take an order when we have a place for it this week.
- You describe your card. A few lines about the place and the animals, and a photo if you have one. You can choose the greeting, in English or in one of the languages of our shop.
- We paint it and send you a proof: a smaller, marked copy, already moving.
- You approve it, or ask for changes. You have 2 rounds of changes. Until this first proof, you can cancel with a full refund.
- We finish your card. You write your message and send it from our writing desk, by email or by copying its link, as many times as you like for a year.
How long it takes
Standard cards take 7 days, express cards 48 hours, business cards 10 days. These times count our working time only: the clock starts when you send us your description, and it pauses whenever we are waiting for your reply (while you look at a proof, for example). Your order page always shows where we are and the date your next step is due, in your own time zone.
If we miss the promised time, we refund you in full, and we still finish your card. The card is still yours to send for the full 12 months.
If you do not reply to a proof within 30 days, that proof becomes your finished card. We send you reminders before that.
What we paint, and what we do not
Yes, gladly
- Your house, your street, a cottage, a farm, a chapel, a harbor

- A landscape or a place you love

No, never
- People of any kind, including faces, figures in the distance, reflections and photos of people
- Real public figures, celebrities and characters from films, books, games or brands
- Logos, brand names, shop signs and any text to be painted
- Anything hateful, sexual, violent, cruel or illegal
- Photos you did not take yourself and have no right to use
We do not paint people. Photos must show animals, places or buildings only, with no people in them, not even in the distance or in a window. When you send a photo, you confirm this and that the photo is yours to use. If an order includes something we cannot paint, we tell you why and refund you in full.
Changing your mind
We start work on your card as soon as you send us your description. Until we send you your first proof, you can cancel from your order page and we refund you in full. Once your first proof is sent, the card is being made to your own description, and you lose your right to cancel: you agree to this when you order, by ticking a box that is never ticked for you, and we confirm it by email. When you approve your proof, you tick one more box to ask us to finish the card. If we miss the promised time, you are still refunded in full, and you keep your card.
Your photos and your card
- We remove the location and camera details from every photo as it arrives, and keep it encrypted. Only the painter sees it.
- We delete your photos as soon as your card is finished. They are never published, never shown to the people you send the card to, and never used for anything else.
- Your card stays private: it is never shown in our shop or anywhere else.
- To paint your card, we send your photos to the image tool we work with, on a paid account that does not use them to train its models (our privacy policy names it). Each painting is then checked and finished by hand. A painting is an interpretation of your place or your pet, not a photograph. How the paintings are made.
Questions
Will it look exactly like my house or my dog?
It will look like a painting of them. We work from your photo for the shape, the colors and the details that matter to you, but the painting is an interpretation in our winter style. Some details are never painted: house numbers, signs, number plates and any writing.
My photo was taken in summer. Is that a problem?
Not at all. We add the snow, the evening light and the glow in the windows. A clear photo taken from the front, in daylight, works best.
Can you paint a pet that is no longer with us?
Yes. Tell us a little about them, and send the photo you love most, as long as no people are in it.
Can I send the card to many people?
Yes: for 12 months, as often as you like, up to 30 cards a day, by email or by copying the link into a message. Each card you send can be opened for three months after it arrives.
Can I cancel?
Yes, until we send you your first proof: you get all your money back, and we delete your description and photos. After the first proof, the order can no longer be cancelled, because your card is being made to your own description; you agree to this when you order. You still have your 2 rounds of changes, and a full refund if we are late.
Is the business card different?
It paints your shop, inn or office, takes 10 days of our time, and includes the right to send the card to your customers and to show it on your website, social pages and newsletters. Logos and shop signs are not painted.
