The Lighthouse Keeper

What moves in this card

• The lighthouse lamp pulses and its beam sweeps slowly round, brightest when it turns towards you.
• The puppy at the cottage door lifts its head and breathes slowly.
• Two gulls on the snowy rocks look about, cock their heads and ruffle their feathers.
• The rowing boat rocks on the water, its light trembling in the reflections, and the full moon glows.
• The Christmas tree lights blink, changing their rhythm every few seconds, and firelight flickers in the windows.
• Smoke rises from the chimney, snow falls in three depths, slips from the rocks, stars twinkle and frost glints.
