The Village Pub

What moves in this card

• Warm light flickers behind the pub windows, and now and then someone walks past inside.
• The lanterns either side of the door glow, and the coloured bulbs along the front blink in four changing rhythms.
• The little terrier on the step tilts its head, wags its tail and breathes, its breath clouding in the cold.
• Smoke rises from four chimneys, and distant lights twinkle down the street.
• Snow falls in three depths, with the odd gust that lifts loose snow along the ground.
• Snow slips from the roofs and lands in little heaps, stars twinkle, a shooting star passes, and frost glints.
