What moves in this card

• Snow falls in three depths, and every so often a gust of wind sweeps it sideways and lifts loose snow along the ground.
• The bell in the chapel’s bellcote swings and rings out every half-minute or so, then slowly settles.
• Firelight flickers in the chapel and cottage windows, with a soft shimmer of red and blue across the panes.
• Three lamps glow along the lane, and smoke curls from four chimneys along the row of cottages.
• The robin on the bridge wall glances left and right, cocks its head and fluffs its feathers.
• Mist drifts slowly over the stream, pale reflections slide across the water and a lamp’s reflection trembles on it.
• Snow slips from the walls and branches and lands in soft little heaps, and frost glints here and there.
• A few stars twinkle in the pink sky, a shooting star crosses from time to time, and now and then a small flight of birds.
