Toy Shop Window

What moves in this card

• The terrier on the sidewalk turns its head now and then, its tail sweeps the ground and its chest rises and falls as it breathes, its breath clouding in the cold.
• In the window, the red rocking horse rocks gently on its runners, and the little horses of the tin carousel rise and fall on their poles while lights chase around its canopy.
• Steam puffs from the chimney of the little toy train.
• The lights on the window tree blink in four changing rhythms and the star at the top pulses; the dollhouse windows flicker and the whole window glows warmly.
• The blank wooden sign sways slightly on its bracket, the street lamp glows, light glows behind the green door, distant shop windows twinkle and smoke rises from two chimney pots down the street.
• Snow falls in three depths, with the odd gust that lifts loose snow along the ground; snow slips from the window ledge, the door canopy and the lamp, stars twinkle, a shooting star passes and frost glints on the snow.
