The Piazza Nativity

What moves in this card

• Seven pigeons on the fountain and in the snow turn and tilt their heads, fluff their feathers and breathe.
• The cat on the balcony rail breathes softly and turns its head now and then.
• The two bells in the tower swing and ring every half-minute or so, then slowly settle.
• The nativity scene glows softly, and the pink dusk sky breathes over the rooftops.
• Drops fall from the icicles on the fountain, glinting where they land.
• The string lights under the shelter and across the street blink in four changing rhythms, windows flicker, four lanterns glow and smoke curls from two chimneys.
• Snow falls in three depths, snow slips from the roofs, birds fly over now and then, snow drifts across the ground in the gusts and frost glints.
